Amsterdam, Holland – September 4th, 2007 – Amino, the world leading IPTV platform supplier, and dicas, the German MPEG-4 specialist, will show their SD and HD MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 products interoperating at IBC (7 to 11 September 2007, RAI, Amsterdam) at the dicas booth in Hall 1, booth 1.180.

Two demonstrations will display full interoperability:

  • MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 -- High Definition: The dicas 2030 HD delivering video streams to the AmiNET130 IPTV Set-Top Box (STB).

The AmiNET130 is an advanced HD H.264 (MPEG4 AVC) IPTV STB providing service providers a cost effective means to deliver end-to-end digital HDTV as multicast, on-demand video and multi-room IPTV services. With the support of HD video, end users receive an exciting and dramatic viewing experience, with greater clarity and detail especially in large display formats.

The dicas 2030 HD is the latest hardware encoder from dicas featuring next generation MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video compression delivered via RTP/UDP and MPEG-TS/UDP. The dias 2030 HD is specifically developed for cost effective HD services without compromising on state-of-the-art quality encoding.

  • MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 – Standard Definition: The second generation AmiNET125 STB decoding video streams from the dicas 2010.

The AmiNET125 is the leading standard definition multi-codec STB designed for IPTV and Internet TV applications. With an Ethernet input and highly flexible audio and video outputs, the AmiNET125 provides a powerful means of delivering sophisticated interactive digital television that may be used with a wide range of home networking products. Its highly integrated chipset and agile codec creates a platform ready for future enhancement.

The dicas 2010, a MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 SD encoder is designed for broadcasters, operators and enterprises delivering IPTV and Streaming services as well as for broadcast distribution and contribution. It delivers one SD channel of variable bit rate (VBR) or constant bit rate (CBR) MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video (progressive and interlaced coding) and MPEG-4 audio.

Both Amino and dicas will exhibit at IBC 2007:
